Niklas (*1988) started playing the piano at the age of 5. Already his first attempts on the keys revealed a great delight in improvisation. Not surprisingly, after taking classical lessons he devoted himself mainly to jazz. He received piano lessons at the University of Hildesheim by Oliver Gross and Sigi Dresen and at the Vienna Conservatory (today MUK) by Michael Starch. Niklas Kammermeier was and is active in a variety of ensembles, from mainstream jazz, tango and salsa to blues, funk and smooth-jazz. He also appears on theatre stages playing piano, saxophone and accordion and composes and produces music for radio plays.
